More about myself

  • Hi, my name is Carlos and I'm originally from Venezuela. When I was thirteen years old I moved to the United Kingdom with my family. After going to school in Northern Ireland I then completed my university degree at Imperial College London, graduating with a First Class in MEng Mechanical Engineering. In addition to my academic achievements, I have gained valuable industry experience in the engineering field, particularly within the automotive industry.

  • Working as an engineer has presented challenges as well as rewards, enhancing my time management, organisational and interpersonal skills. I think of myself as a very resourceful person and I believe it has been my work ethic and creative approach to problem solving which have had the greatest positive impact on my work.

In addition to these qualities, I've cultivated a solid foundation in mechanical engineering to include CAD, stress analysis and manufacturing expertise. My skill set also extends to data analysis and computer programming which I've seamlessly integrated into my roles. I've actively engaged in research and development, with a keen interest in testing, and I’ve effectively led teams to the successful completion of various projects.

  • The most satisfying part of my work is finding a solution to a given problem. Engineering has provided me with an opportunity to break down complex issues into smaller parts, prioritise them and develop an efficient strategy to arrive at the best solution.

My main objectives are to continue to do this in a competitive environment and to gain more valuable experience for my professional growth.
